My Personal Recipe Book began, in part, because of a missing blueberry muffin recipe. As a new wife, the owner of this Portland-based company approached her father-in-law for her new husband's favorite breakfast: blueberry muffins "the way my mom made them." Unfortunately, his mom had passed away, and the bereft father-in-law had not a clue as to where the recipe was, or as to how she made them! So, with heartfelt loss for the blueberry muffins that were "light as air" as well as the other "dishes his mom made", the bride was left to try to figure these out on her own.
