Sweet Masterpieces from La Joconde

In 2006 pastry chef and architect Jutta Bach decided to combine her love for French cuisine and her skills in design, and founded La Joconde – resulting in what many Oregon wedding planners consider the most delicious and most beautiful wedding cakes in Portland.

Her signature design element is Joconde sponge, a decorative sponge cake named for the Mona Lisa – which is called “La Joconde” by the French. La Joconde offers a sophisticated culinary experience and the most creative cake designs, which have been featured in several wedding magazines and on bridal shows in Portland.

Jutta’s first rate service begins with a complimentary personal consultation and tasting where wedding cake ideas get developed and translated into a colored hand-drawn sketch, and a wide array of flavor options can be sampled and selected.

She gives an exact quote, trying to stay within each client’s budget, while striving to create the best cake design, ranging from simple wedding cakes to really outrageous creations.

Coordination with wedding planners, caterers and florists guarantees a perfect and stress free experience – and a gorgeous cake!
