A Blend of Traditional and Modern Values...

Nestled in the heart of downtown Portland, Eliot Center at The First Unitarian Church accommodates up to 250 guests in a blend of traditional historic and new contemporary venues. With two traditional ceremony spaces and the modern Buchan Reception Hall, Eliot Center is perfect for your dream wedding or commitment ceremony and reception.

The Eliot Chapel built in 1924 features Georgian Revival architecture and seats 250 people for your ceremony. Additionally, The Channing Room, a formal parlor, seats up to 30 guests and is ideal for intimate ceremonies and/or a dressing room for bridal parties. After your ceremony, stroll down the hall to your reception in the Buchan Reception Hall.

The Buchan Reception Hall in our newly LEED Gold Certified Buchan Building offers 2,600 square feet of modern and elegant space for up to 250 guests. Its floor to ceiling windows, city views, adjacent outdoor courtyard and two-story atrium add to its spacious ambiance.
