Bridal Fashion Trends to Fall in Love With in 2014

As 2013 comes to a close, it means only one thing to those here at AniA Bridal Collection: Spring 2014 Gowns. Designers have been previewing their new gowns on the runway and we can’t help but notice the burgeoning trends that have been rounding off 2013.  Here are a few trends to jump start the new year and give you ideas about how you want to look on your big day!

Glitter is everywhere. And it is no different for the gowns of 2014. Designers have been using incredible beading to give the bride who wants a little shine and glamour on her big day. Our favorites are Hayley Paige “Ameryn” and “Paloma.” For something a bit more ethereal, we love Watters “Jacinda.”

Who says you have to wear white? A lot of brides and designers are going non-traditional with the color of the dress. The most popular colors that we have seen are blush, gold and rose gold. We can’t take our eyes away from the Maggie Sottero “Blakely” for it color options of ivory and gold or head to toe gold.

Art Deco has made a resurgence with the release of the Great Gatsby film featuring the simple yet flirty shapes of the era. The dresses that best exemplify the style of the roaring 20’s are the Maggie Sottero “Gianna” and much of  Lazaro’s Spring line which features feather skirts, flapper-esque beading and body hugging sheath bodices.

Low Dramatic yet Elegant Back

A lot of brides are looking for a plunging back on their gowns. Its daring but undeniably romantic. The designers doing this trend the best are Katie May and Claire Pettibone.

Floral Crowns

You can’t forget your accessories this season! Brides are going au naturel and putting their classic veils down and picking up a wreath of flowers for their head pieces. The floral crown gives a whimsical look to bride who isn’t afraid to rock this type of playful halo.

We cannot wait to see what new trends will emerge as 2014 goes by.

Congratulations to all who will be getting married in what we think will be a magical year for weddings!
