DIY Wedding Veils
April 13, 2010Hey there DIYers! The economy has hit hard for many of us, but you are still wanting to add that “oh so needed” veil accessory to your well chosen wedding gown. You want to add a simple veil, but just can’t find it in your budget or you have a well-meaning family member or friend that wants to make a veil for your special day. Don’t be alarmed, there is an instructional video available at August Veils. Owner and lead designer, Andrea Hoyt, has decided to put together a step-by-step instructional video for brides. This is a well thought out and concise process in which she details out all of the needed supplies and tricks of the trade that she has learned.
But wait! There is more! On her website there are also veil kits you can purchase in the most popular lengths. All of the components needed to create the veil are included. Tulle cut to the specific length with the curve already cut. Comb, veil bag, hanger and clip. It even comes with a piece of tulle to practice on. All you need to do is iron, gather and sew on the comb. Best yet, Andrea has offered a guarantee. After you have bought the kit and still cannot put the veil together, she will put the purchase price toward a veil made in the studio! If you are planning on putting together your own veil, check out www.augustveils.com !
